How to Maximize CMS Incentives and Improve Patient Outcomes
Date:
April 19, 2017
Time:
2:30 PM ET

Webinar Description

On October 13, 2016, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the final rule that implements the Medicare Quality Payment Program (QPP). The final rule included provisions for providers to simplify data submission and enables clinicians and practice managers to select measures that more appropriately fit their practice. Qualified providers can choose either the Merit-based Incentive System (MIPS) or the Advanced Alternative Payment Models (APMs). Providers have been inundated with MACRA information and guidelines; however, this information is often insufficient for providers to strategically translate the new requirements into actions that will maximize CMS incentives and improve patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives
  • Take a micro review of MACRA 2017 and the MIPS with a focus on specific CPT codes and resources for diabetes and hypertension clinical improvement activities.
  • Review the processes involved in generating the required data for MIPS reporting in 2017, and learn how to review and compare your results to similar organizations and patient populations.
  • Find out how to identify and manage common mistakes with quality reporting requirements from the CMS and private payers.
  • Learn more about the benefits of utilizing micro-learning tools for providers and clinicians with direct responsibilities for administering care and documenting results that impact high-value MIPS performance categories.
