Before his current role as Director of Education at Crosstex/SPS Medical, Mark was the Director of Sterile Processing Operations at Boston's New England Baptist Hospital, a leader in orthopedics and the official hospital of the Boston Celtics.

Mark has been in the sterile processing management profession for the past twenty years, offering consulting services in this area both nationally and internationally, and is also the previous Vice President of the Massachusetts Chapter of Central Services Professionals.

A member of IAHCSMM since 1992, Mark has been an IAHCSMM-approved instructor and chairperson for their orthopedic council for six years. In 2011, Mark was awarded fellowship status and is now one of 34 Fellows. A year later, he was awarded IAHCSMM's Educator of the Year in Albuquerque. Additionally, Mark serves on the association's executive board and was elected to IAHCSMM President Elect in 2016.

Mark is also a voting member of the AAMI ST79 working group, where he was recently appointed to the advisory council.

The Details
Sterilization and quality assurance are integral steps to successful instrument reprocessing. In this webinar, learn about various sterilization packaging materials, such as wraps and peel pouches, and best practices for their use from AAMI, AORN, CDC and AST. Then, learn how to properly execute quality assurance when using these packaging materials, as well as how to document and test for sterilization.
