Navigating PAMA: How to Optimize & Maximize Your Business Practices to Prepare for CLFS Reimbursement Changes
Date:
June 20, 2018
Time:
2:30 PM ET

Webinar Description

PAMA legislation helped lay the groundwork and methodology of Medicare Clinical Lab Fee Schedule rate realignment with Commercial Payer Lab Fee Schedules. CMS estimates it will save approximately $670M in Part B payments from the CLFS in 2018. The new rates were finalized by CMS late in 2017, and took effect on January 1, 2018. The impact is one of the biggest changes to lab reimbursement in decades. Although most tests reimbursed on the CLFS are impacted, lab testing is still critical in clinical care, with seven out of every 10 medical decisions being aided by a lab test. For savvy practices, there are opportunities in an era of PAMA to continue delivering quality care to patients without sacrificing revenues. Join us and learn innovative ways for physicians and labs to think about maximizing & optimizing their practice operations in a time of change.

Learning Objectives
  • PAMA overview & update
  • What does this mean and who will it impact?
  • What are the future implications?
  • What can I do today?
  • What should I be thinking about to stay ahead of the curve?
