This time each year the occupational risk of needlesticks, sharp injuries, and blood and body fluid exposures increases because more procedures are being performed that require the use of needles – flu vaccine and medication delivery, blood collection and other procedures. This webinar will provide tools that you need to prevent these exposures and injuries and provide a safer work environment for staff, as well as patients and their families.
Learning Objectives
Two (2.0) contact hours are provided by BD Medical Clinical Resource Services, which is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing provider #CEP 13136. Clinicians should be able to use this for continuing nursing education credits, pending participation in the webinar and completion of the accompanying booklet: “OSHA BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS STANDARD: A SHARPER FOCUS ON ACHIEVING COMPLIANCE THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SAFETY-ENGINEERED DEVICES.”
